Big Wheels!

How DOES an earth mover push all that sand? How DO garbage trucks work? If you are a parent with a child that loves big trucks, you need to come to EdVenture’s “Big Wheels!”

 

Now is your chance to let your little ones get up-close-and-personal with a large variety of trucks, emergency vehicles and other machines that make a BIG impact on our lives. Learn about the science of how these huge machines move, push, pull and haul. Free with museum admission. Free to EdVenture members. One day only! Confirmed exhibitors include: Fire ladder truck | SC Highway Patrol SUV and rollover simulator | Dump truck | Hydrogen bus | Bulldozer | Tow trucks | Tractor trailer | 18-wheeler | HUGE Tires | Dragster | Race car | Concrete mixer truck | Tree lift | Garbage truck | Recycling truck | Emergency Response Vehicle (ERV) | Army National Guard F-350 | Richland County Sheriff’s Department Dodge Magnum | RV Fun Facts A tow truck (provided by M & W Towing) can pull up to 100,000 lbs. It is the largest in the Columbia area and is remote-control operated! The Richland County Sheriff’s Department Dodge Magnum can go as fast as 155 mph. The forestry tires provided by Michelin are 6ft. tall and 4 ft wide!
