Experience a day in the life of a firefighter
EdVenture Children’s Museum and the SC State Fire Marshal’s Office are proud to offer a three-day workshop for adults on how to keep your family safe from fire and other hazards.
At this workshop, you will experience:
• A behind-the-scenes look into a day in the life of a firefighter (fire extinguisher training, a fire truck ride, dressing in bunker gear, etc.)
• Valuable training in fire prevention and suppression that will decrease your family’s risk for fire and injury
• Ways to improve your family’s reaction to emergencies
• Techniques to identify and treat burns and scalds
• The best methods to fight a small home fire
