The Discovery Council is a group of dynamic volunteers whose purpose is to develop leadership and support for EdVenture Children’s Museum. Discovery Council members work actively to increase community awareness and raise funds to support EdVenture. Members represent the spirit of the founding mothers and fathers, who believed that all children deserve the very best learning environment we can give them. To learn more about EdVenture’s Discovery Council, please call us at 803 400 1162 or send us email.
Fundraising Events
The Discovery Council presents two fundraising events throughout the year, all open to the public. In the past, EdVenture’s Discovery Council has raised funds to support scholarships for at-risk children to attend Fire and Life Safety camps, outreach educational programming for children from low-income areas, support for EdVenture's master exhibit plan and permanent fabrications for EdVenture's seasonal Snowville exhibit.

Annual Gala
EdVenture’s Gala is the museum’s largest annual fundraiser and made possible by the dedication and countless volunteer hours given by the Discovery Council, an outstanding group of volunteers dedicated to raising funds and awareness to support the museum. The Gala will feature live music, fantastic food, a live and silent auction and the presentation of the 5th annual South Carolina Great Friend to Kids Awards. Corporate sponsorships are now available – please call 803.400.1153 or email Allison Kirby for more information.
