In EdVenture City, children learn to recognize and appreciate
the diversity of jobs in South Carolina including farmers, mechanics, firefighters,
scientists and builders.

What do you want to be when you grow up?
Do you want to be a farmer? Then climb aboard our real John Deere tractor and listen
to the sounds of the farm as you plant your crops. When that's done, you have to milk
the cow, feed the animals and collect the eggs from the barn. What about peach farming?
In EdVenture's Friendly Farm, you can pick ‘em, pack ‘em and sell ‘em!

Dalmatian Station
Do you want to be a firefighter? Come to Dalmatian Station. Climb inside the cab
of our real 24-foot fire truck and become the chief or engineer. See how long it
takes you to put on your gear. Practice crawling through a dark tunnel. Remember,
fire is dark! Then go upstairs to the Emergency Decision Center and see what
you can learn.
Learning by Living
Or do you want to be a builder? A store manager? A politician? A designer? A mechanic?
You can try all of these and much, much more in World of Work. Here, kids learn about
living. They have money, called Eddie Bucks, which they can earn, spend, save and share.
Kids even have the right to vote in EdVenture City!
A pumper fire truck carries up to 1,000 gallons of water. It can also use
water from a fire hydrant, a pond or a tanker truck.
