We make giving back to the community a little more fun. With a wide array of events and programs throughout the year, we’re always on the lookout for youth and adult volunteers. You bring the enthusiasm; we’ll provide the training!
Become an Exhibit Buddy!
Exhibit Buddies have the power to transform the EdVenture experience for our guests! Engage children and families in play in EdVenture exhibit areas, read a storybook to kids in EdVenture's library, put on a puppet show, and keep our exhibit areas neat and tidy!
This opportunity is very flexible- we need volunteers Sundays from 12-5pm and Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. We can work around your schedule!

Youth Volunteer Opportunities
Help us train the next generation of community leaders! Young men and women can become a Bioinvestigator or Museum Apprentice Program. Youth volunteers not only develop 21st century skills, but communication, public speaking, collaboration, and life skills while working in a professional environment.
BioInvestigators Youth Development Program - Youth grades 7–12 can mentor students toward studies of and careers in biomedical science, bioengineering and biotechnology. This nine-month opportunity trains participating youth in Body Detectives exhibit interpretation, to facilitate Biolab activities on the exhibit floor, and more. Aligned with middle and high school Academic Standards, the program focuses on bringing research to life.
Museum Apprentice Program - EdVenture’s Museum Apprentice Program or MAP takes youth (grades 6–12) behind the scenes to experience what makes a museum work. MAPs are trained and paired with staff to work in exhibit interpretation, facilitate activities on the exhibit floor, help with birthday parties, and more. With completion of volunteer hours, youth can gain access to different opportunities and programs. This nine-month opportunity teaches valuable work and life skills through volunteer service.
