Whether you bring your students for a field trips to the museum, or we bring our exceptional programming to you through Ed-To-Go, EdVenture Myrtle Beach wants to help meet the educational needs of your students while sparking their imagination and sense of discovery.

Early Childhood Programs (3K to 4K)
Subject: Engineering, Physical Science, Maker

Think it. Design it. Make it! Inspired by the tale of the Three Billy Goats Gruff, students will dive into the world of engineering to solve different tasks facing the story's characters. They will build bridges, craft boats, and construct houses for the three goat brothers. These tiny tinkerers will even use basic coding in order to subdue the grumpy Troll! This hands-on program builds teamwork and problem-solving skills in addition to structures!

A Child Around the World
Subject: Social Studies
SC Standards: K-1, K-4, 1-4.1, 1-4.2, 1-4.3, 2-4
Prepare for take-off as we embark on an EdVenture to many wondrous places around the world! Your students will experience life as children from different cultures. From chores, to school, to music and birthdays, kids around the world do many of the same things we do! To top it all off, they’ll get a passport full of stamps, to help remember their journey!

Push, pull, force, motion, and gravity—this program explores it all! Discover the forces of the world in motion in this exciting program that will teach students about push vs. pull, mass vs. weight, gravity, friction, and inertia. Students will learn about these forces of motion as well as acceleration, deceleration, and velocity through catapult science, scooter races, and EdVenture's take on tug-of-war.
Zap! Electricity at Work
Subject: Physical Science
SC Science Standards: K.S.1; 1.S.1, 3.S.1, 3.P.3, 3.P.3A
It’s electric! Zap! Explores the wonders of electricity, it’s origins, and how to stay safe around it. We will witness the different ways electrons “flow” as we look at the structure of the atom, types of electricity, and it effects on living things. Students will create a human circuit, participate in a Van der Graff demonstration, and even get to try their hands at our “squishy circuits.” This class is sure to be illuminating!

Do teachers or bus drivers have to pay?
How long does the field trip last?
90 minutes. Classroom programs will last 45-minutes per session. Exploration time, whether with or without an attached classroom program, is limited to 90 minutes.
When are field trip programs offered?
All year long.
What do I have to do to guarantee my space?
A $50 deposit is required for your field trip reservation to guarantee space and availability. This deposit will be credited toward the total admission fees due. The deposit due date will be indicated on the reservation confirmation.
How do I make reservations?

• Once your field trip request has been confirmed via email or mail, teachers are responsible for confirming the number of students 48 hours prior to arrival. If the teacher does not confirm the number of participants with EdVenture, the school may be responsible for paying for all reserved spots, regardless of actual attendance. When is the balance due?
The balance is due upon your arrival.
How will I receive confirmation for my visit?
You will receive confirmation of your visit by email or mail. It will include your reservation number.
What is your cancellation policy?
There will be a $50 fee for all cancellations made less than 14 business days before your scheduled visit.
What payment methods are accepted?
Payment can be made by check, cash, Visa, Discover, American Express or MasterCard.
What are your drop-off/pickup policies?
If your group arrives more than 15 minutes late, part of your experience may be shortened. A member of EdVenture’s staff will meet students on the bus to conduct a brief orientation upon arrival. Please be on time. All groups are asked to stay with their assigned staff person to ensure the best experience. If an EdVenture staff member does not greet your group on the bus to go over the museum rules, please organize your group in front of EdVenture. Buses are to bring students to the main entrance of EdVenture upon arrival. Drivers then will be directed to a specific parking location after students have entered the building. Buses are to pick up students at the museum’s main entrance at the front of the building.
